Serial Entrepreneur Joh Rubinstein, who played a key role behind Cupertino based Apple Inc iPod ’s music player, has left Hewlett Packard (HP) after two years on the job there. Joh Rubinstein was Chief Executive Officer at Smartphone makers Palm, When HP bought Palm in 2010, Rubinstein held the position as product-innovation role within HP’s Personal Systems Group headed by Todd Bradley. ”Jon has fulfilled his commitment to HP,” a HP spokesman said.

Jon Rubinstein is a member of the board of directors at Amazon. Last year HP reported the largest U.S. technology company by revenue, announced it was halting its TouchPad line of tablets and any other devices based on WebOS. In December 2011 HP announced that its Os WebOs would be open source for developers, a potential rivalry for Google’s Android Platform
