Google has finally announced that the next version of Google TV will be releasing in next week. Google TV will get a big over-the-air update on Sony Internet TVs and Sony Internet TV Blu-ray players. If you’re willing to give Google TV another shot, you can pick up a Logitech Revue for $99. Most of the update will change the user interface of Google TV to make it easier to navigate. The home screen for Google TV is now customizable and it also has an app menu that’s reminiscent of Android mobile devices. Google admits there won’t be many apps available after the update hits, but developers can bring their apps to Google TV as long as those apps don’t need a touchscreen, GPS access or require telephony features. As we know that the Apple’s new concept TV is still beautifully designed but Google TV is like Apple’s current generation. Google says you can take a specific topic such as cooking, and turn it into a dedicated YouTube channel on Google TV. The new apps is TV & Movies which shows users a wide range of shows offered by their cable provider, satellite provider or internet video services such as Netflix and YouTube.
