Windows Phone Marketplace Reaches 50,000 Published Apps

The Windows Phone Marketplace has regained the momentum , AllaboutWindowsPhone reported that Windows App Market has reached a new milestone, Today it has surpassed 50,000 app mark. It took Microsoft over a year to reach 40,000 App mark, now it took Microsoft only 40 days to reach 10,000 Apps. Year 2012 could be great year for Windows Phone Marketplace. Moreover All About Windows Phones noted that nearly 6,000 apps were published in the marketplace were by  pulled either by Microsoft or the developers themselves.

According to Stats new apps are being at a rate 265 new ones per day with current selection of software on the marketplace coming from a grand total of 13,002 different publishers. Back when the Windows Marketplace hit 40,000 apps, new submissions happened at a rate of about 165 per day, But now when we see this new milestone the daily submission at a rate around 265 app mark. The last couple weeks we have seen a immense growth for number of apps, we have noted two things, Firstly the release of Nokia Windows Phone The Lumia 800 and Lumia 710, secondly the marketplace which has grown from 16 countries to 35.
