World’s largest Social networking site Facebook Inc will be offering Ads on their main news feed starting next year in the month of January. One Sponsored ad in your main feed per day at the start. These ads will be appearing on ordinary posts with a small “Sponsored” tag on the comment line. As we hear user will not have a feature opt out from these sponsored ads from their main news feed, Mobile news feed as will be rolling on May 2012. Several sites like  Inside Facebook and TechCrunch has received news from Facebook that these will appear, again, at the start of 2012. Furthermore these newsfeed will not be will not be a welcome change Facebook representative stated that the ads will be placed sparingly. According to them, most users will see a maximum of one ad, per day.

InsideFacebook Reported the following:

With Sponsored Stories, companies can pay to promote organic user activity such as Liking a page, checking into a place or playing a game. These stories will be labeled as sponsored and will be the same size as other News Feed items. At launch, users will see no more than one Sponsored Story in their feed each day.

Though Facebook has not experimented with advertisements in the News Feed since 2007, we don’t expect this move to result in major user backlash. It is likely to be a boon for advertisers and pave the way for promoted content on mobile devices.
