Folks, Spotify have just announced a major redesign to it’s Android App allows users with a much cleaner and more visually  satisfying app to use, more in line with Spotify’s awesome Windows Phone app. Spotify’s new design features a new slide navigation system, which is available from the top left corner of the app, and provides easy navigation to all areas of the overhauled Spotify application. Elsewhere, there’s an increased emphasis on visuals, with high-resolution artist images and album artwork plastered generously across the app.

Spotify said that the update will not be automatically pushed to devices for the time being, but fully compatible with Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system. The app will be launched on Google Play “soon” but in the meantime, if you just can’t wait, you can grab the preview direct from Spotify.
