Microsoft’s Xbox Live app has been increased it’s the statistics for the Xbox 360 entertainment app which has been recently increased over 50% of usages in few months back.
The Xbox 360 has become the top-selling console in the US, Microsoft also said that the new update for Xbox Dashboard that would let users to navigator with apps and it although the Microsoft have been confirmed that the it will roll out the update will be out by November 2012 as the exact date wasn’t confirmed yet.Xbox Dashboard update features improved access and prevalence of entertainment features on the platform, but also coincided with the Christmas period, one where movie watching is quite a popular activity.
Microsoft Xbox Live’s director of programming said about this trend ”illustrates our community’s excitement around Xbox 360 becoming more personal, engaging and social through Xbox Live. Moving forward, you can expect to see more of the world’s leading entertainment providers coming to Xbox and a continued rollout of additional entertainment apps.” said Larry Hryb.
This latest statement was made on the official Xbox blog:
- The hours of video consumed globally on Xbox LIVE increased 140 percent from 2010 to 2011.
- In December,more than 60 percent of U.S. Xbox LIVE Gold members used entertainment apps on Xbox LIVE – for an average of an hour a day each.
- The number of people using entertainment apps on Xbox LIVE increased by nearly 50 percent globally from November to December.
