A red model of the Sony PlayStation 3 will be available on May 4th. Amazon has this week begun taking pre-orders for a Scarlet Red PS3 version which will arrive in the UK on May 4th. The new Red PS3 will cost around £250 with 320GB of storage. This signifies that the scarlet version will cost an additional £40 – £50 to the original black version, but you do get two similarly scarlet DualShock 3 controllers in the box. Simple! Paint it red and call it Scarlet.
So unless consumer really, really must have a scarlet red PS3, there’s no need to sell your existing one for this mode. The new Red PS3 console has exactly the same specifications as the black Slimline PS3 currently available.
