Cupertino based Apple Inc has announced that the iPad third generation tablet will arrive in 21 additional countries beginning on Friday April 20th. The first set of countries to receive the iPad 3 will be South Korea, Brunei, Croatia, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malaysia, Panama, St Maarten, Uruguay and Venezuela on Friday 20th. Followed on April 27th by Colombia, Estonia, India, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, South Africa and Thailand. These new markets will help the iPad extend its global dominance in the tablet wars.
Apple’s new iPad will retail around $499 USD and up. The iPad 2 will cost around $399 and might be the best venture in the larger part of the market just now getting the new iPad; only the United States markets have LTE data ability anyway. The new iPad features a 9.7-inch 2048×1536 “Retina” display, 1Ghz A5X dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, an improved GPU with four cores, and five megapixel camera capable of recording 1080p video. iOS 5.1 is also pre-loaded onto the tablet.
