Panasonic Eluga, which was launched in Japan last month has made its way to Europe. In Germany, the Panasonic Eluga can be had for €400 from either Amazon.de or GetGoods.de, while Guenstiger.de has it slightly cheaper at €370. The Eluga will be available in the UK on April 24 with Expansys charging £365 (€440) for it. Not as pricey as some handsets, but not as cheap as I was hoping.
Eluga has the following features:
- Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread
- 4.3-inch IPS display
- 8.0 MP camera
- Bluetooth
- PDF Reader
- 1.5 GHz Dual-Core Processor
- 8 GB internal memory
- NFC
- Water and dust proof
- 1,800 mAh Li-Ion Battery
The Smartphone features a 4.3-inch 960 x 540 OLED QHD display up front and a 1GHz dual-core Texas Instruments OMEP 4430 processor. The phone is just 7.8mm thick and weighs only 103g, but is dust proof and can sit under 1.5m of water for 30 minutes. Rather than Ice Cream Sandwich, the Eluga runs the Gingerbread build of Android, but an update to ICS is due sometime in May. Let’s hope it’s not delayed. The phone also carries NFC support.
