
California based Google’s chairman Eric Schmidt has defended the Google against the comments made by late Apple co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs’ claim that Android is a product ‘stolen’ from Apple. Speaking during a conference in South Korea, Eric Schmidt Schmidt has asserted that his company came up with the idea to create a smartphone ecosystem before the iPhone came into being. Schmidt claimed that he was extremely ‘sad’ over the death of Steve Jobs and was still recovering from the loss of his death. ”I decided not to comment on comments that are written in the book after his death. I don’t think it’s right,” Schmidt said during the conference, adding that Steve Jobs was a “fantastic human being” who he “dearly”. Jobs had told Walter Isaacson that “Our lawsuit is saying, ‘Google you f***ing ripped off the iPhone, wholesale ripped us off,” speaking of writs Apple issued against leading Android handset manufacturers. Jobs’ Biography written by Walter Isaacson, Steve Jobs claimed that Google Stole stole ideas from the iPhone to develop Android and also spoke not so nicely about Google products other than search. ”Most people would agree that Google is a great innovator, and I would also point out that the Android efforts started before the iPhone efforts. And that’s all I have to say,” Schmidt said.
