South Korea based Samsung has begun out an OTA (over-the-air update) that brings Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to its Galaxy Note devices. The news comes as Rotterdam based Devin Balentina, who posted a snapshot of his Galaxy Note notifying him that the 318MB update was available to download. Sadly his location makes this update likely to only roll out to users with the GT-N7000 international Note — AT&T customers with the SGH-i717 Note will have to wait.
Moreover these new apps and widgets come from Samsung known as Premium Suite, a new range of software specially designed to take advantage of the Galaxy Note’s digital stylus and oversized display. There’s a digital scrapbooking tool . OTA upgrades usually go out in a staggered fashion so as to ease the impact on a company’s server. Android 4.0 brings in performance enhancements though remarkable changed UI of pure Ice Cream Sandwich has been covered up by Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI. What do you think?
