Ashton Kutcher, american actor will play Steve Jobs in a movie about the late Apple co-founder from his early days as a “wayward hippie” up through to his technology ventures. The movie simply titled “Jobs” will compete with Sony Pictures’ alternative biopic based on the book by Walter Isaacson, and will be directed by Joshua Michael Stern. It will be solely funded independently, with production starting in May.
Steve Jobs Biography is based on 40 interviews with Steve Jobs conducted over two years—as well as interviews with family members and friends. The Exclusive Biography is the only authorised book about Jobs’s life. Former Apple Chief Steve Jobs was no newcomer to the movies himself, having owned Pixar and executive produced Toy Story. Sony Pictures is yet to cast its own Steve Jobs movie, with Brit Ralph Fiennes being one suggestion.
