Skype has just released new update with High-Definition video call option and now it supports up-to 1080p video which means if you had a full HD webcam such as the Logitech c920 you will able to use the 1080p to Video chat with your friends and anyone else.

You will also be required to have 2Mbps upload and download speed that would enable you to have better view on the Skype’s Video Call or chat. The other big addition is group screen share which allows Skype users to broadcast their entire screens (or a single app window) with their contacts during conference calls.

The skype user will also required to have a Skype Premium that lets the users enjoy additional features such as Photo presentation and group collaboration. There is also a new Facebook contact hide option for offline friends and Bing toolbar integration, as well a push-to-talk feature so you can set up hotkeys for muting your microphone. The latest version of Skype is now available for download and it’s free.
