Cupertino based Apple Inc lost its patent lawsuit against Motorola Mobility, This caused Apple Inc to pull off 3G iPads and iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4?s Apple’s online store in Germany. German Courts found out that Apple Inc violates Motorola’s GPRS patents, which means Apple will not be able to sell the aforementioned products in Germany until the two firms come to a licensing agreement. ”The iPhone 4S is unaffected as it contains a baseband chip from Qualcomm, unlike earlier models that use Infineon chipsets. Apple uses an Infineon chip for its GSM iPad 2, leaving it affected by today’s removals” The Verge said. It appears that Motorola’s have posted a $133 million bond to enforce the ruling.
