
Cupertino based Apple is continuing to show strong growth on U.S. Smartphone market, but still Android continues to move forward as the most popular Operating System. According to a report from ComScore Apple increased its smartphone market by 1.4% in three months ending November acquiring a market share of 11.2 percent. Korean Smartphone Giants Samsung lead the the way in the U.S. smartphone OEM marketshare of 25.6 percent while LG and Motorola came on the second and third spot with 20.5 percent and 13.7 percent respectively. Blackberry makers RIM continued to decline with a market share of 6.5%.
ComScore also noted that Smartphone Software Market Share, Android was on the top of the list with a 46.9 percent share, with a growth of 3.1%. Apple iOS also increased its share by 1.4% with a 46.9 percent share.For the three-month average period ending in November, 234 million Americans age 13 and older used mobile devices.
